Hello we are Jacky and Stephanie and we have recently opened a patchwork and quilting shop in Burford, Oxfordshire. We started working from home a couple of years ago, and found that we were running out of space, and hence our move to retail premises. There is plenty of parking outside the shop. My name is Jacky. I think I have sewn all my life - from making doll's clothes as a child, my own clothes in the 70's, and all types of needle crafts, including embroidery, tapestry, patchwork, quilting and knitting! I have enjoyed restoring porcelain, and am a qualified jeweller. I prefer to hand sew my patchwork and quilting, although current time constraints have forced me into machine sewing! I also love textiles, and with a keen interest in quilt history, I am drawn to reproduction fabrics. Hi I'm Stephanie and I have been involved in many areas of sewing and creative crafts for over 20 years. My first major sewing task was my own wedding 25years ago! and I have since designed and made many wedding and evening dresses. I spent a time designing and making ladies accessories which were sold at craft shows all over the country including the Country Living Show in London. For the last 5 years I have been teaching sewing, patchwork and quilting which I love, and hopefully I am passing on my love of fabric.
